by Imām al-Ghazālī
Ihya Ulum al-Din (The Revival of the Religious Sciences) is the magnum opus of Imam al-Ghazali, completed around 490 AH (1096–97 CE) in Jerusalem and Damascus. Comprising four sections with ten books each, it addresses the inner dimensions of religious practice by integrating legal, theological, and mystical approaches. The work seeks to revitalize Islamic religious life by emphasizing sincere worship, ethical conduct, and spiritual renewal over mere external observance.
